Ok I love rootbeer but lets face it. It not really healthy. I'm have a root beer beer gut lol. Are there any diet root beers that don't taste like motor oil that a dog peed in?
Wow...pretty harsh assessment of diet root beer. Sorry for the long delayed reply, but I'll take a stab that A&W's diet version isn't bad. _________________ Bottoms up!

So heres a tribute toast with root beer in hand to you and the many mugs of suds along your happy trails. --Charles Wysocki, artist and root beer fan, 1928-2002
I think Dog N Suds Diet Root Beer is the best by far. Unfortunately, it costs about $1/liter so, instead, I drink a lot of Walmart Diet Cream Soda which is very good and cheap at $0.84 for two liters. Walmart also has Diet Root Beer at the same price but its flavor is average.
More generally, in my experience, the diet beverages that are sweetened with Aspartame plus Acesulfame Potassium taste much better than those sweetened with other artificial sweeteners, including Aspartame alone.
Oof, "root beer gut" is too real lmao. My favorite low-calorie one is called Diet Frostie...it's sold at specialty shops (in my area at least) & on Amazon last I checked!
Of the grocery store options, I've always liked Barg's diet root beer the best!
