Hi,
New to the community. Thanks in advance for responses.
I'm guessing I could spend some time researching past posts but I'd rather find out if someone can give me a quick answer or links to past discussions.
I'd like to find a root beer that's really a "BEER". High alcolhol content would be good.
There aren't many with alcohol. Naturally carbonated (i.e. yeast) will have some, but much less than regular beer. Mendocino (not sure if it's still available) is like this. A couple of years ago, John Adams made a limited-time alcoholic root beer. And there is another brand in the Philadelphia area (can't remember the name, but you can search by state here by clicking on the Brands, then clicking on Pennsylvania). _________________ Bottoms up!

There's also a root beer made in Oklahoma that has alcohol content. Huebert's Rock Hard root beer tastes just like old fashioned root beer and has an ABV of 4%. My 70 year old aunt makes ice cream floats with it.
