Welcome!

Regarding the most precise ranking, Anthony's Root Beer Barrel (http://www.rootbeerbarrel.com).

Not sure if there are any consistent suppliers with cheap shipping...

As a vendor, consistency is the hardest thing to keep up with as there's always something keeping product from being delivered. (Weather, bottle shortages, lack of funds from lack of sales in this economy, shipping charges)

The problem is that every vendor needs to make a buck, some make it on handling charges as they have to spend the time individually wrapping each bottle. Shipping charges are rarely cheap as the product weighs about 40 lbs per case. So not only is it heavy, it's breakable.

I've found there's three options:
1. Pay a bunch and get overcharged for fancy packaging, over charged for shipping and charged for handling. (Galco's $97 for 24 bottles is a joke)

2. Pay for the price of packaging up the bottles and full shipping with a wide selection. (Pop Soda, Retro Soda)

3. Or guys like me who charge what UPS does and just does it for a little extra cash on the side. Problem with me is lack of inventory after losing my main vendor. I'm working on that though....

All depends on what you think a bottle of root beer is worth to you really. Obviously you'd want to spend more for those you can't get locally and even more if you just want to try one of each flavor out there.

Kinda confused by the link to the root beer supplier. You need to edit that.

If you're in southern California, bypass shipping for many brands and go to BevMo all over and Old Town Root Beer in San Diego.

yeah, that link does not work and i cannot figure out where you meant to go...

thanks for the link guys! very kind. Very Happy i try my best to be a fine source of root beer info.

but yeah, there is not a cheap, really well stocked supplier out there. i think i have tried most, although i hope to order some from Soda-MN-Good soon, i know you did have a couple i did not, hopefully you still do.
soda is very heavy and pricy to mail so you are going to pay a premium. after a while you get used to it or you just accept it at least as the price you have to pay to drink new stuff.

Try Dan the Soda Man on the net. Root Beer in glass bottles is heavy. Cheap shipping ain't gonna happen. The above supplier does welcome pickup at his location in MI.

Thanks Kink
