I've just stumbled upon a website that has a number of west coast brands listed, with several I've never heard of. http://www.gourmetrootbeer.com/revb.htm
He's got almost a dozen bottles listed/pictured that I don't have in my collection, and am curious if anyone around here knew where to get them? In the midwest or online? They are:

Rutherford Root Beer
Myers Ave Red
Dominion
Hot Dog Magazine Root Beer
Traders Joe (I know where a TJ is in Chicago, and will be checking them out next visit)
Bedrfords Root Beer
Jumpin' Johnny's (I've heard of this, but I can't find their website to find out where it might be bought in Michigan)
Pallino
Mendocino Taubold's Private Reserve Root Beer
Mad River Root Beer
Red Jammer Root Beer

Hi Centaura, Meyers ave Red out of business last time I talked to them. Hot Rod Mag I have never seen for sale anywhere possibly gone. I used to carry Jumpin Johnnie's but could not sell it. Not a bad brew just bad labels. Not sure if it is still around. I have Roundhouse not sure if I had it last time you were at Heart's. I also now have Briar's.

Thanks Kink

I've heard of all the brands mentioned... Haven't seen many though..

I know Trader Joe's stopped making their organic root beer, as per the local store calling corporate.

Hot Rod magazine sodas i believe had 4 flavors and were a limited "special edition" run. I could be wrong, more than likely this is the same soda as say Skeleteen's or Jack Black.

Jumpin Johnnies website is either down or out of business as i did have the link and have been on there many times in the past. But no such luck now.

Are you sure about Myers? I spoke with the guy from Cripple Creek about a year ago and he told me his sodas were just hard to find.

In all my research I've never found anything on Mendocino, Red Jammer, Rutherford or Pallino, other than on gourmetrootbeer.com. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist though as i thought Purple Cane Road root beer was a farce, turns out a guy bottles it in his basement in 750 ml cobalt blue bottles. Made sure I had him ship me a case.

I tried doing internet searches on a lot of them, but came up with nothing. Only the pictures on that website. I also had a link to Jumpin' Johnny's website, but its not coming up now.

You wouldn't have an extra bottle of that Purple Cane Road that you'd be willing to part with, would you?

Thanks Kink. I had actually made a trip to the actual restaurant in Chicago and got a bottle there, and then came back on a trip to Hearts to see that you had them there. Ah well. It was an interesting restaurant to visit.

you can also get it on eBay:
http://stores.ebay.com/Hip-Hop-Soda-Pop-Shop
although $20 for a bottle is a bit steap with postage.
i would love to get a bottle myself.

Dominion is in the database as a Virginia brand.

I had a Myer's Red 3 or 4 years ago. Lots of cinnamon, not much root. I'd call it a cinnamon creme soda rather than a root beer if I ruled the world.

I own the Hip Hop Soda Pop shop on Ebay. Ebay's shipping calculator has never been able to accurately calculate shipping for those who sell both individual pieces and full size cases.

I mention this in my auctions so people will email me for an accurate quote.

My suggestion and what works the best is to order multiple bottles as UPS shipping gets cheaper. So if one bottle is $8, 3 can ship for $10 or 6 bottles for $12, on up to 24 bottles for $22 depending on weight and where you're located.

ah! that is good to know. i saw no mention of that on this auction. i did not look at others as i don't need other brands. you may want to make that more prominent in your listing, it definitely makes me more apt to order from you.
