Hi,
I am a decedent of John Raser who owned a pharmacy in Reading, PA from the 1850's. He sold a root beer extract. The story my family tells is that he sold his recipe, or the extract, to Hires, who went on to become rich. Has anyone heard any rumors like that? The Hires website doesn't mention it, of course, but the dates and general location could make it possible. Wondering what the experts say/know about this.
Thanks,
Jamie
