New to root beer brewing. Starter kits ?

So I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction

I'm wanting to start brewing rootbeer and maybe cream soda. But I'll focus on rootbeer. Is there a starter kit out there I should try? I do want the flexibility to try new things and new recipes and not just keep ordering pre made mixes. That to me defeats the purpose

If it goes well. I was actually thinking of this for a groomsman gift. It just seems a lot of the kits out there are all premade everything and really takes the fun out of experimenting. Thoughts anyone ?

Hi Djoblue. I haven't seen any kits that don't have pre-made mixes, but you can toss the mix and make your own.
