Hi,
I'm new to the site.
Question: Has anyone ever heard of "RIF" Root Beer? It came in a brown longneck bottle, not unlike a beer bottle. It had no label on the the bottle, but only on the bottle cap.
As a kid in the early 1960s, I would reach down into the ice-filled softdrink box at the local small convenience store called "Goldies" in Harlingen, Texas.
Since you could only see the bottle caps and not the label on the side of the bottle, Rif appeared the same as any other drink in the icy water.
It was not as carbonated as other drinks and went down smooth.
I have not found the name "RIF" anywhere on the internet.
If anyone knows abot RIF root beer, please respond.
Haven't heard of it...wonder what RIF stood for? _________________ Bottoms up!
