When the post office got rid of Surface mail in May two years ago. It pretty much made everything have to ship via airmail.

Even the largest flat rate box they offer might hold 4 bottles total. With a flat rate of $40... ouch.

When they offered surface mail, it might have taken a month or more to get there, but the cost was $40-80 for a whole case to ship.

So for any business men out there, I bet there's money to be made in cheap, take forever to get there, shipping.

RootJack, why don't you just set sails for Australia and deliver it personally? Gotta keep with the customer relations you know and lord knows your ship could use a good trip outside of the bathtub...lol

We had the same issue in dealing with a distributor in Hawaii. BY the time we ship it to the west coast and the steamer ship it to Hawaii... it just isn't cost effective to ship full cases this way. They still could have made decent margin, just not great margin like everyone else.

I was really hoping they'd take it so I could make a sales visit to help open retail outlets. Wink

If we had REAL money, we'd have it produced in Australia, California and apparently Israel. That would eliminate most of the shipping cost.
