All-

I am taking on the process of making old fashioned root beer receipe collected from various sites around the net. Here is what I have got for it the initial ingredients. However, I am not sure how much spikenard and angelica oil to use.

6 drops wintergreen oil
3 drops anise oil
X drops spikenard oil
X drops angelica oil
1.5 teaspoons of wild cherry bark extract
1.5 teaspoons of birch bark extract

Any ideas?

I am thinking 3 drops.

I don't know, but the rest seems too much for two liters. I am using about 2 drops wintergreen oil for 2 liters root beer.

What does the birch bark extract taste like? I would expect it to taste like wintergreen and therefore be redundant.
